As a violin maker, my fine detail skills have served me well in my carpentry and other woodworking. Attention to detail and high quality finish carpentry are my specialty. The experience of working with high quality violin varnishes has also taught me to pay special attention to texture and consistency of the finished surfaces which makes for exceptional final results.
Fine detail carpentry on this home was necessary, which I accomplished. I also completed framing, flooring, and general carpentry
Beams were wrapped with trim coped to ceiling within 1/16”. Joint is back beveled so caulk can fill the void and adhere without cracking later due to a thin caulk joint, and the tight cope ensures there is not a broad caulk bead that will sink and show later.
To achieve the tight cope, a jig is made to hold trim in place for precise marking and coping
Finished trim is tight with reveals as needed to ensure seamless joints and transitions
All trim in the photo was done by me
